Never Doubt

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world 🌎 Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead

I am proud to announce that I have joined the clean beauty movement as a consultant with Beautycounter. They are more than a company that sells cleaner beauty, but also activists working to change our beauty laws here in the US.

Beautycounter wasn’t unknown to me, I knew that they were cleaner beauty, activists and opened one of their first pop ups on Nantucket. I had never thought about the potential harmful chemicals I could be putting on my body. I worried about it for the girls but, oddly never myself.

I hadn’t tried a product until my friend and I were talking about my eyes. See when I moved to New Hampshire I learned I was allergic to the outside. And instead of your typical watery eyes, itchy throat and sneezing. I was graced with red, puffy and raw eye lids. I didn’t think it was an allergy in the beginning, went to urgent care then a dermatologist. The dermatologist gave me all these creams that clearly stated they were not to be used on your eyes.

Those creams helped the first summer and into the fall but year over year it got worse. I was able to keep it at bay for a bit, especially when we went on vacations. It would completely clear up! My friend and I were chatting and she said I should try something cleaner – Beautycounter.

I said yes, but I was skeptical – see I was OBSESSED with my Chanel Skincare. I tried the Beautycounter but not ready to give up my Chanel. Fast forward several months and this is what my eyes looked like in March and here is what they look like now!

The image of me on the right was taken as I am writing this today 6/17/2020, both are unedited and untouched. The difference is astounding. I can never go back! I will never go back to dealing with my eyes in such a state!

Beautycounter Countertime

Beautycounter’s anti-aging line Countertime is my new crack. I have washed my face day and night since I got it. It is the reason that I no longer have problems with my eyes.

Now you know WHY I love the products! Here is my WHY for becoming a consultant. When I joined in March it was purely discount based. They were running a joining special where the cost vs the discount and free product made it the better deal! (I am always on the prowl for an offer) My WHY today 3 short months later is very different.

My WHY now is to be in control. I was furloughed due to the pandemic. It didn’t matter my performance or my drive to be successful in my role, it was simply a cost saving measure on the part of my company. I was not in control and I want control of the income I have coming in. I know I can have some control with Beautycounter by sharing the products that I am seeing results with.

Every woman or man should know the feeling of putting a product on their face that not only is free of harmful chemicals but delivers results.
